In the late nineteenth century the potters of Faenza began trying decorative ideas in the heyday of the Faenza ware: the Renaissance.Born then decorum "At Raphaelesque", characterized by grotesque, medallions, dragons, garlands and cupids arranged in harmonious compositions inspired by the Vatican Loggias of Raphael.
The wall plates in Raphaelesque style of Laura Silvagni - La Vecchia Faenza are all unique pieces.
The tauts of these ornamental plates are designed by our workshop to fit the shape and size of the pot. In the paint always we choose a landscape or a different scene. The sources of inspiration are the masters of landscape, the French painters of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and the Flemish painters.
