Umbrella stand 51 cm Garofano

Ceramic umbrella stand, entirely shaped and decorated by hand. 

This style is called “Garofano” (carnation) and it’s the most famous among the traditional Faenza’s designs. It was first used by a XVIIIth century factory and from then on has always been reproduced. It represents an oriental garden and was in fact inspired by china pottery, very fashionable during the XVIIIth century.
