Oval Bowl "Garofano"

Oval bowl called "crespina" because of its scalloped edge. This peculiar shape comes from the 18th century practice of using the same moulds which silversmiths used to chisel metals.

Also the decoration "Garofano" (lit. "Carnation") comes from the 18th century, and was clearly inspired by the Far East.
