Hand-modeled ceramic holy water stoup in an unusual shape and in a single piece.
This stoup is hand painted in the Compendiary style, a typically Faenza decoration also known as "the white of Faenza". In fact, this style enhances the shape of the object which is covered with a white tin glaze. At the time, Faenza was unrivaled for the beauty of this special enamel.
On this surface, cherubs and decorations with few colors are painted: light blue, yellow and orange, sometimes a few touches of red brown, and that's it.
Dimensions of the Compendiary holy water stoup: width 23 cm, height 23.5 cm, thickness 10 cm.
