Large hand painted majolica plate with Raphaelesque with a scene in the center inspired by "Conversation in a park" by Thomas Gainsborough, one of the first works of the English painter created around 1745 and kept in the Louvre in Paris. Around, on an elaborate of leaves, stand out 7 medallions containing small Raphaelesque - drags and dolphins - born from the fantasy of the ceramist Giovanni Pretolani and painted in bright colors.
A fine dish, to hang and look carefully to catch every detail of its minute decorations.
Dimensions: diameter 55 cm, height 7 cm.
(The white spots on the majolica are due to the reflection effect of the photograph)
