Hand painted ceramic vase with Melograno (pomegranate) decorum and frontal swallow.

Sometimes the Melograno decoration, typically blue on a white background with pure gold trim, is accompanied by images of animals: in this case a swallow, a symbol of loyalty and rebirth.
