Ideal for a child’s bedroom, the cherub is an angel symbol of protection, beauty and devotion; the wings recall its celestial nature and express speed and power.

Cherubim appear in the major monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. They are considered creatures very close to God: sometimes represented as guardians of Eden and of the throne of God, in the Middle Ages they were included in the first hierarchy of celestial spirits, immediately after the seraphim; Dante mentions them in the Divine Comedy (canto XXVIII of Paradise).
