Vase 40 cm carnation

Large Faenza majolica vase hand decorated in Garofano (Carnation) style.

The Garofano decoration was born in Faenza in the second half of the eighteenth century: it portrays a fantasy carnation inside an oriental garden. The inspiration comes from the porcelains of the Far East in vogue at that time.

Dimensions: height 40 cm, maximum width 23 cm. The vase is equipped with a removable lid.
