This prestigious Faenza majolica is a true specimen of ceramic painting, made by painting individual flowers with the tip of a brush. All the spaces between the decorations of flowers and leaves are filled with blue color by brush. The interior is painted with a golden yellow mezzotint, embellishing a beautiful form that can stand even without flowers.

This type of decoration is loosely inspired by the works of Flemish painters of the 17th-18th centuries: it features minute flowers in bright colors representing the blooms of all seasons.
