Madonna of the Fire 25 cm

Relief ceramic tile depicting the Madonna of the Fire. The image is hand-painted and is a relief reproduction of the image venerated in Forlì (Italy).

The Madonna of the Fire (in Italian: Madonna del Fuoco) is traditionally placed above the doors of houses, to protect the dwelling and its tenants. The cult was born in the fifteenth century when this image miraculously emerged unscathed from a fire that destroyed the school in which it was kept.

Dimensions of the tile of the Madonna of the Fire: 25 cm x 18 cm, thickness 3 cm approximately.
