The icon of the Madonna of San Luca, located in the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of San Luca in Bologna, arrives in the capital of Emilia at the end of the thirteenth century thanks to a pious pilgrim. The icon depicts a Madonna and Child according to the classic oriental iconography.
