Our Lady of Graces 20.5 cm

A fine, hand-decorated Italian ceramic panel depicting the classic iconography of the Virgin of Graces of Faenza.

This exquisite, entirely hand-painted majolica celebrates Our Lady of Graces, patron saint and protector of Faenza. The work commemorates the miraculous event of 1400: while the plague was ravaging Italy, the prayers of the citizens were heard, and some of them saw a heavenly vision: Mary wrapped in a blue cloak, clutching broken arrows in her hands, a symbol of divine justice and the end of the plague.

The panel, painted in delicate colors, is suitable for both interior decoration and outdoor display in votive shrines, entrances, or gardens.
