Hand-decorated ceramic plates in Pavona and Persian Palmette styles.The decoration “eye of a peacock feather”, simply called Pavona, is of ancient oriental origin and alludes to the rising sun, in the Christian context it symbolizes the resurrection.The Persian Palmette, also of oriental origin, is characterized by the presence of pine cone-shaped flowers.Often the decorations in Pavona and in Palmette are found side by side; usually the Palmette surrounds the main decoration in Pavona.
