Apothecary jar with the typical albarello shape, hand-decorated in the traditional Melograno style with the inscription “Rosa Canina” (dog rose) in a scroll.

The Melograno decoration is a modern classic of the Faenza ceramic tradition: it was born at the beginning of the twentieth century and has a blue Faenza decoration embellished with pure gold brushstrokes.

Dog rose is a medicinal and medical herb known for its high content of Vitamin C. With its dried fruits, infusions and decoctions are prepared.
