Our Lady of Graces of Faenza in glazed and hand-painted relief ceramic in Compendiary style.

The Our Lady of Graces, represented with the broken arrows in her hand, is the patron saint of the city of Faenza and is traditionally placed above the doors of the houses, to protect the home and the family.

The Compendiario is a style that developed in the Faenza workshops of the second half of the 16th century, in reaction to the excessive chromatism of the previous century. From then on we will see more and more majolica painted with languid colors, figures of cherubs and brief touches of blue as the only decorations on the velvety whiteness of the tin glaze.

Dimensions of the Our Lady of Graces: rectangular in shape, measuring 20 cm wide and 30 cm high, with a thickness of 3 cm.
