The Virgin Mary holds the arrows of divine justice in her hands: it is said that during the terrible plague of the fifteenth century that had gripped Faenza – in addition to other centers of Emilia Romagna, Veneto and Lombardy – the Madonna appeared after incessant prayers some devotees in his blue mantle with a smile that gives peace, and in his hands the arrows, a symbol of the pestilence sent by divine justice. As if by magic, the plague disappeared from the city.

This majolica depicting the Our Lady of Graces of Faenza is suitable to be placed both inside and outside houses.
