Hand-painted “pharmacy” vase for Liquorice with Garofano of Faenza decoration.

Licorice is a perennial plant of the Leguminosae family widely used in cooking, also effective in the treatment of cough, sore throat and gastric acidity for its anti-inflammatory, expectorant and digestive properties.

Licorice apothecary jar dimensions: height 35 cm, width 14 cm.
