The decoration in Garofano (carnation) is the most famous and widespread of the Faenza majolica. Tt presents a carnation flower (very different from its real counterpart) in the middle of a blue and green garden.

The dried fruits of anise – improperly called seeds – are used in herbal medicine for their digestive, carminative and balsamic properties. Anise extracts are also used as flavoring in deodorants, mouthwashes and toothpastes.

Size of the pharmacy jar for anise: height 24 cm, maximum width 10 cm.
