Hand-decorated ceramic panel with a mowing scene.

Inspired by the Agricultural Calendar of Pietro de’ Crescenzi, as depicted in a 15th-century illuminated manuscript of his famous Ruralium Commodorum libri XII (Treatise on Agriculture) of 1304, it represents the month of June, when the grass was mowed.

The scene is framed by leaves and flowers painted in bright colors on a blue background, thus the decoration recalls the style of medieval illuminated manuscripts.

The panel is framed in a wooden frame and ready to hang on the wall. Dimensions: 23 x 23 cm, thickness 1.2 cm.
