Plate ø 48 cm Raphaelesque

Large majolica plate hand painted with Raphaelesque on a red background. In the center are depicted three female dancers inspired by the tempera paintings (1799-1806) by Antonio Canova.

The Raphaelesque decoration of the plate features cornucopias, small scrolls and sprigs painted in golden colour. The whole background of the decoration is filled with the tip of the brush with the red colour.
